Failure
Failure is an event that does not accomplish its intended purpose or lack of success. A person can fail in achieving something in his or her life. For instance, he or she fails to pass examination, fails to get a job, and fails in a marriage, such as Sam’s marriage problem. When a person afraid to do something or to face a complicated problem. So, that person is mentioned fail. He cannot handle a problem. He has not strength to strive. Moreover, Alex’s fundamental need has been forgotten by Sam Parker. In this case, Sam cannot achieve harmonious in his family, because of less pay attention to his wife.
Atkinson’s Theory of Achievement Motivation in Franken (1982:246) states:
One of Atkinson’s important and fundamental contribution was his suggestion that the need to achieve in humans is always tempered by another fundamental need, the need to avoid failure. That is, one cannot set out to achieve a goal without consequences of failure. Atkinson’s theory recognizes that people may differ in a strength of these two motives, but in the final analysis, the goal directed behavior is determined by the join action of the two motives.
By reading that statement, it can be concluded that if the motive to succeed is greater than the motive to avoid failure, the person will strive to attain a particular goal. It is assumed that person will select goals that minimize the chance of failure.
Mean while the act that leads of failure is clarified by Franken. He clarifies that failure lead to incomplete turning outward of the self-directed destructiveness and constructiveness with which the situation is. No one emerges completely free of self-destructive tendencies. Often there is an overlap between an constructiveness and destructiveness. Some people destroy themselves for what might to considered to be logical reasons such as killing themselves to avoid along painful death. Other seem to die by purposeless act such as addition to alcohol etc.
In this situation, the person who is called Sam deals with his failure by doing Affair, and he seldom gives pay attention to his wife when his wife getting trouble of sickness.

My husband and I have been separated coming close to 6 months. Initially I thought yeah I’ll be free but God revealed to me that it was his plan to move on with my best friend and which my best friend has already told me that she will destroy my home when we had little misunderstanding.
